1.) Registrar

The Position

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except as regards matters for which the Bursar is responsible. The Registrar is also the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.

Qualification and Experience

Candidates must possess a good University Honours Degree preferably in Humanities or related disciplines and must have at least fifteen (15) years experience in University administration, four of which should be at the rank of a Deputy Registrar.
Possession of a higher degree and membership of recognized professional bodies are mandatory,

Specifically, the candidate is expected to:

2.)  Bursar

The Position

The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the management of the University finances.

The Candidate

The candidate for the post of Bursar must possess a good degree in Accounting or related disciplines plus any of the following recognized professional qualifications. ICAN, ACA, ACCA, ACMA & CPA. Membership of a relevant professional body is a necessary requirement. He or she must have acquired a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification experience, eight (8) of which should be in the University System. He/she must have served as Deputy Bursar in the University for at least three (3) years. The candidate must have clean and impeccable records of service and demonstrate evidence of professional competence with high degree of accountability, transparency and probity. Applicants should be highly computer literate and be conversant with the application of ict-based accounting packages,

Salary and Conditions of Services

The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of a Bursar of all an Nigerian Universities and as may be determined from time to time by the University Governing Council as appropriate.

3.)  Librarian

The Position

The University Librarian is the Chief Library Officer of the University and is responsible to the vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the co-ordination of the Library Services in the University.

The Candidate

Candidates for the post of University Librarian must possess good honours degree, plus professional qualification in librarianship, (Ph.D and Membership of a relevant professional body will be an advantage). Candidates must also show evidence of considerable scholarship and thorough understanding of the application of new technologies to library operations and services. Computer literacy and application of ICT in library services is an essential requirement in addition, candidates must show sufficient evidence of contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publications in reputable journals within and outside Nigeria; and competence in job planning, organization and ability to take initiatives to fast-track the development of a young University Library to an international standard within a short period of time. At least, five (5) of the relevant years of experience must have been at top leadership position in a recognized university and must have served as Deputy Librarian for at least three (3) years.

The successful applicant will be placed on CONUASS 7, with relevant fringe benefits and will equally enjoy the allowances normally attached to the position of principal officers in Nigerian Universities.

The Director of works and Physical Planning is the Chief Technical Officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the Physical development as maintenance of university buildings, estate, equipment and other properties and for providing services and utilities for the well being of the University.

Qualification/Experience

Candidates must have a good honours degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture or Building Tech or Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience. Such candidates should not be below the rank of a University or similar institution.
The right applicant must be a registered member of relevant and recognized professional bodies
A Masters degree in relevant FIELD as well as experience in the supervision of SIWES will be an added advantage.

Conditions of Service:

The Director shall hold office until retirement subject to five yearly performance evaluations by the University Council or as may be approved from time to time by Council. Fringe benefits are applicable to similar positions or as may be reviewed from time to time by the University Council.

22.) Principal Engineer (Mechanical) (CONTISS 11)

Qualification

Candidate must possess a first degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University with at least 10 years relevant post- qualification experience preferably with at least 4years practical experience in a university or comparable tertiary institution.

ACADEMIC PLANNING

38.) Director (CONTISS 15)

The Director of Academic Planning is a key officer in the affairs of the University.   The Director is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the duties of the office. The applicant must have a clear knowledge of the structure and the vision of the University. The Director also has the following specific responsibilities among others:

Prepare and review the University Academic brief as appropriate,
Determine the staff needs of Departmental/Units based on the directive of Council and making appropriate recommendations where necessary.
Coordinate activities involved in accreditation of Academic programmes and Departments in the University.
Make projections based on processed data on the staff/students population of the University.
Prepare and publish regularly, statistical data on the various Departments and Units of the University.
Monitor and evaluate Academic Programmes and Departments for appropriate academic development planning purposes.
Implement the quality assurance and improvement plans of the University.
Liaise with the Bursar in the preparation of Annual Recurrent Budget Estimates.

Qualification/Experience:

Applicants must possess a good honours degree from a recognized University in any of the following fields: Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Educational Management with bias in Mathematics/Statistics/Economics.
A doctorate degree would be an added advantage. Applicants must be computer literate.
The Applicant is required to have a minimum of 1 5 years cognate experience in the planning unit of a recognized university not less than 5 years of which must have been spent in top management position in the planning unit

Conditions of service

Conditions of service are as applicable to similar positions in all Nigerian public universities and as may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the University. The appointment shall be till retiring age.
