Cost controller

Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by an international commodities Group to recruit an expatriate Cost Controller for its operations in Nigeria.

The cost controller will be responsible for Accounting/Finance/Control of the Group operations : trade & distribution.
The position is based in Lagos
? Forecast / Day to day reporting of open credit, cash flow and exposure.
? Day to day reporting of sales and stocks.
? Analyze and report financial results.
? Build an accounting/finance organization and ensure that the subsidiary?s operations are compliant to the group?s
? Responsible for preparing the annual budget and business plan
? Responsible for all the accurate and timely production of Statutory Financial and Management reporting (Statutory, management, cash forecast, treasury)
? Set key operational controls with the aim to reducing risks, ensure optimum efficiency and align our operations with Group?s standards and ensure efficiency in our operations;
? Lead the implementation of processes, reporting, KPIs
? To be responsible for Legal, Administrative and Tax matters including Tax reporting, relationship with fiscal and custom authorities. Ensuring compliance with all local regulatory requirements;
? To be fully accountable for all treasury matters on a day-to-day basis (back office...); financing and bank relationship being shared with the GM.
? Decision making at executive and operating level.
? Financial, tax and regulatory reporting applying specific laws and regulation applicable to the country
? Develop, coach and train individuals at various stages of maturity and development
? Exposure to both internal, external and Regulatory audit

? Masters in Finance, Accounting or Business Management;
? 5 years of experience in similar business environment (audit, finance, accounting, controlling background function in commodities trading)
? Previous experience as a Financial Controller preferably in local branch or subsidiary of private company with rigorous reporting to regional/global head office,
? Capacity to federate teams. Develop, coach and train local team on accounting/control/finance.
? An energetic and highly motivated self-starter with an assertive character, a hands on approach and who aspires to being a key contributor in a dynamic team environment,
? Good understanding of process risk and controls,
? Good Excel / Accounting packages understanding required,
? Strong analytical skills
