CCL (>) has been requested by an international oil and gas operator to provide a Production Technologist to be based in West Africa. Position is residential rather than rotational. Travel required. Terms to be agreed. Degree qualified or relevant experience. Good written and oral communication skills in English. French advantageous. Set up / maintain suitable Production Data Base Management system. Initiate set up of Integrated Production Model (IPM) to allow continuous production optimisation of entire subsurface / surface production system. Respect / implement HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives. Ability to function in a multi-discipline team and ability to communicate in a corporate environment. Operational experience in West Africa an advantage. Provide technical and operational support on all production engineering, completion and drilling matters to maximise economic recovery of company oil & gas reserves from both mature & new oilfields in assigned area. Monitor / evaluate well, reservoir, facilities / field performance together with all attendant production technology aspects. Actively engage in problem identification and solving in connection with the total production process. Initiate / participate in design / construction of wells. Ensure adherence to government statutory regulations. Use well performance simulation software to optimise inflow, artificial lift applications, completion design and tubular selection for new wells and workover candidates. Mentor, motivate and competently develop national junior staff. Participate in operational duties outside office hours.
