- Chief Operating Officer
DESCRIPTION
A great business and team player that has deep knowledge of retails/grocery business.

ROLES
Key Result Areas:
• Manage retail operations as “Profit Center” in line with company’s sales objectives
• Develop & deliver sales budgets, forecast volume turnover and review all the key operations parameters periodically
• Manage all day to day operational issues in Retail outlets under supervision
• Strong leadership and direction to sales team (including their training & development)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Skills : Must have at least 10 years senior retail management experience in developing countries, of which at least the past five years must have been within the grocery retail industry.

- Chief Marketing Officer
DESCRIPTION
To support the CMO with strategic inputs, data analysis and sales & marketing support for front end operations of the chemical business

ROLES
Marketing Planning
• Prepare and help implement marketing plan & budgets
• Carry out product & market surveys as needed to build the marketing plan
• Monitor how the businesses are doing in achieving of their targets & make suggestions for improving performance
• Research new product & market ideas

Sales coordination
• Analyze sales data for insights
• Provide product & information support where needed
• Ensure complete & accurate sales documentation.

Customer Management
• Provide insights & support in the customer acquisition & market share growth of various divisions of the Company.
• Seek marketing & commercial innovation for leadership in respective business areas.
• Deliver sales target where assigned

New Business incubation
• Direct handling of new divisions in initial stages as required

Superior Processes
• Review & improve processes as per the Sales manual.
• Review & improve the intel gathering system
• Actively take part in getting ready the quarterly reviews & follow up to ensure implementation of ideas discussed
• Preparation of reports made by CMO office. Liaise with businesses on all other reports of businesses-level 2 meetings, MR’s, Qr’s preparation etc
• Follow up actions agreed to with CMO etc.

Procurement
• Support CMO in making the procurement plan
• Closely work with the Business head in identifying new supply sources
• Assess procurement improvement areas, local procurement

Team leadership:
• Leadership by example for superior performance.
• Support Business head in motivating, training, appraising & developing the team.
• Provide value add in leadership and analytical support to Business heads

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Strong analytical background – degree in engineering/management.
Must have a strong knowledge of sales & marketing operations, team leadership, marketing analytics & processes.

OTHER INFORMATION
Experience: Must have a strong knowledge of sales & marketing operations, team leadership, marketing analytics & processes
Career path : Current position as senior professional in marketing / sales preferably of a global trading company or a company with familiarization of chemicals.
The position can grow into overall head of all marketing operations (CMO) & thereafter to CEO for Nigeria / Africa.

- Head Of Commercial - Logistics
DESCRIPTION
To head the commercial/front end function of Logistics Business Area.
This will involve – acquire customers, enter into contracts, track & provide customer service during the period leading up to product delivery, ensure payment collection & efficient account management

ROLES
Customer acquisition
• Identify & meet potential customers, key decision makers
• Negotiate & finalize logistics service contracts
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely consignment shipment

Customer service
• Manage customer contracts & obligations
• Track imports & provide regular & timely information on consignment status
• Provide customer single point for any contract / accounting or consignment related support as needed
• Keep in close track with customer developments, for opportunities to build repeat business & provide inputs to other Group divisions for cross sell opportunities
• Credit management & payments collection

Team leadership
• Necessary leadership support to the management to achieve agreed goals
• Coaching to enhance team skills
• Motivate & Retain the best available people for the assignment

IT
• Help design (if needed) & become a power user of the tracking system
• Ensure that the system is stable, easy to access & relevant to customer
• Keep the system data base of consignments under processing current

MIS / Reports
• Set up comprehensive reporting on customer activities & consignment status reports
• Timely/accurate information to the management for taking corrective actions where needed
• Ensure customers are updated about their consignment, whether they ask or not

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Educational: Strong commercial & logistics background – first class degree in logistics management from premier institutes including non-nigerian nationalities.
Must have a demonstrated capacity to acquire & manage large/mnc clients, be a team leader and & process orientation
