Our client is an upward independent E&P company with assets established in Nigeria, Ghana, and Sub-Saharan Africa. While they are growing successfully with their E&P Operations, they have a need to fill this role as this is a significant importance for the company moving forward. Job Title:  Financial ControllerThe successful candidate will manage accounting, tax and finance activities for the company. Will assume full responsibility of assessing, monitoring and implementing new ERP systems
Manage and oversee the preparation of local budgets, forecasts, financial statements and tax reports. 
Responsible for risk management and/or maintenance of local insurance policies 
Developing local accounting, tax and finance staff. 
While playing the role of Financial Controller in Nigeria you will be required to maintain special coordination with all internal departments including purchasing, logistics, treasury, tax, legal and accounting for the company. 
Maintain close contact with financial institutions, national and international auditors. 
An ideal candidate for this role will be expected to have at least 10 years of Management experience in the financial/accounting sector and 3 years of International accounting. 
A certified public accountant accreditation is preferred
An MBA in accounting or finance would be looked upon favourably. 
Strong experience in international tax, ERP systems are required.
Note: This position is suitable for candidates looking to work in Nigeria or willing to return to Nigeria.
