Description : Project Services Lead Location: Nigeria Experience required: 20 years Duration: Long term Start date: ASAP Salary indication: Negotiable Skills required: - Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master preferred) in engineering or related technical field with at least 20 years experience un upstream EP projects. - Proven track record as an effective Project Controls & Services Lead during Design and Execution phases. - Understanding of Deepwater developments and played a lead role In Project Controls & Services to support large deepwater development projects in excess of US$1 billion. - Assessed at or immediately ready for assessment at GPES (project services) Level 2. - Visibly demonstrates personal and company HSE Commitment. - Ability to work with and influence multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. - Working knowledge of probabilistic cost and schedule risk analysis. - Skilled in application of Shell Global Project Management processes, standards, tools, procedures and guides. - Ability to deal with substantial uncertainly and multiple often conflicting, goals and priorities. - Provides clear and decisive leadership in an environment of many competing priorities and diverse activities and issues. - Keen awareness of key customers and stakeholder needs and business drivers, including economic, political, environmental and social issues. - Experience in managing major EPC contracts. - Familiar with project development challenges in Nigeria or in other regions with similar challenges. - Excellent communication skills. - Skilful at leading through influence. - Proven team building and people management skills. - An excellent team player. - Values and is open to listening to stakeholders comprising OML 118 co-ventures, Chevron and host government agencies particularly NNPC/NAPIMS, NCDMB and DPR. - Maintain composure under pressure while providing clear and decisive leadership. Qualification: - Degree Description: - Reports functionally to the Project Services Manager but reports operationally to the BSWA Project Manager. - He/ She will be responsible for managing overall project controls, including planning/scheduling, costs and reporting.
