One of SIDO programs is the Global Human Rights Program (GHRP) working on all related challenges, issues and conflicts in each country reaching to the development of peace building, mediation demonstration, conflict resolution, counseling, democracy, good governance, rule of laws, human rights and dignity, and rights community reintegration and development approaching the society's harmonization in politics and economics. This project is part of how to build peace, reducing conflicts by creating a network of children helping children through education as a main vaccine. Through this project's unique youth-driven approach, large number young people have been involved in our innovative projects.

Global Human Rights Program (GHRP) seeks a driven and experienced Associate Program Director to join our dynamic multi team, reporting directly to the Program Director.

A minimum three-year commitment is required and more than this is welcome, with salary commensurate of experience. Upon completion of the three month probation period, all staff members are offered a health plan. The ideal candidate must be eligible to live and work in assigned country as well as to regular overseas travels, travel to and from the duty station to Australia as needed for additional trainings. Work visa permit is arranged if it is in need.

Relevant Sectors: Country Directors, Regional Directors, Internal Program Operations Director, Other relevant Directors, CEO, President, Social, Education, Gender, Youth and Child.

Salary, Benefits, Terms and Conditions: The position is available as soon as possible, A salary range US $ 45,000 – $ 51,000 p.a gross excluding other benefits. Relocation and health packages including housing and transports, yearly RT home airfare only personnel etc;.

Responsibilities: • This role is a member of the management team in the assigned country and is responsible for providing support; Works closely, taking direction and feedback from the Program Director (your supervisor); • Will work closely with Program Director on Me to We volunteer and leadership trips; Manage facilitators when in country with regards to HR, provide feedback and training; Manage a diverse team of coordinators, officers, drivers, camp managers, lodge personnel and facilitators; • Ensure high standard of service to volunteer trips participants including lodging, transportation, meals; Responsible for facilitating youth and adult trips experience while in the country; • Responsible for program and partnership development with local organizations and institutions as; Work with local staff in coordination of projects including participation in meetings with communities; • Support local staff in project development, implementation, and evaluation; Assist Program Director in quality assurance of human right programs and projects; • Handle all report writing to headquarters; Assist in strategy, proposal development, and budgeting of projects where needed.

Skills and Qualifications The interested candidate to the position will require the following skill set: • MA degree (or BA at least + professional experience) in international relations, political science, human rights law; and Fluency in English (Native prefer but not necessary), with a basic local language an asset; • Experience in program and/or project management cycle; Comfortable living and working with difference cultures, has lived abroad, previous experience living in the assigned country (but not necessary); • High level of professionalism developed through previous work experiences; Proven management and decision making experience; • Strong communication skills with varied audiences: youth, local staff, high end donors, local people; Strong business or entrepreneurial sense; • Experience managing and supporting staff which includes a local team and international team; Experience assessing needs, budgeting, implementing program oversees and coordinating youth;
