Cummins West Africa is a worldwide provider of electrical generators and power generation systems, components and services in standby power, distributed power generation, as well as auxiliary power in mobile applications to meet the needs of a diversified customer base.

Cummins Power Generation products include diesel and alternative-fueled electrical generator sets from 2.5 to 2,700 kW, alternators from 0.6 KVA to 30,000 KVA, transfer switches from 40 amps to 3,000 amps, paralleling switchgear and generator set controls.

Its expanding its operations in Nigeria and it urgently requires competent, brilliant and result oriented persons for the following positions:

Job Title:  Marine Service Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Responsibilities
Ability to accurately carry out fault diagnostics and repairs to Cummins engines and Generator sets in marine applications Troubleshoot electrical/electronic installation and service issues Complete repairs within target times and without rework following all published procedures and policies Respond to marine customer inquires concerning engine installation Effective coordination/supervision of Service personnel or terms, to ensure all Service and customer requirements are met Provide Technical Support to relevant staff, customers and dealers as required Undertakes training in line with skill requirements (some training maybe completed overseas) Ensures Cummins, marine & customer HS&E standards are met & enforced at all times on both Cummins & customer sites.Requirements: B.Sc Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent experience Candidates who can drive will be given preferenceExperience/Skills Minimum of 5 years experience Engineer Experience in Cummins engines or generators would be an added advantage Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Knowledge of marine application engine, engine systems, electronic control, trouble shooting and repair process.
