Our client an independent E & P company requires an experienced project accountant to work in their Lagos office. 

Job Title:  Project Accountant

Location:  Lagos

Roles:
The project accountant will be required to:
Control all financial activities related with the projects.
Monitor projects' budgets, as well as all expenses and capitalization related with projects.
Advise management on any financial and accounting matters, and make recommendations related with budget and financial control.
Verify charges and invoices, to make sure all charges comply with the contract; have correct account classification, and are in line with Company guidelines.
Monitor cost allocations from other affiliates and other departments which support the project.
Prepare and approve internal budgets, monitor all charges, investigate any unusual transactions, and perform accounting responsibilities such as accruals for the project and accounting adjustments.

Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor degree in Accounting from any reputable university
Must have a minimum of 10 years work experience. 
Experience as a project accountant within an E & P company is also mandatory.
