81645 - Onshore Projects Contract Manager

They are currently recruiting for the position of Onshore Projects Contract Manager, based in Port Harcourt.

Job Description

To finalise tender documents, participate in prequalification of tenderers, deal with queries during the bid phase, perform bid evaluation and participate in negotiations. Preparation of final contract documentsTo establish or ensure the establishment and control of the technical contractsTo establish the contractual procedures, in cooperation with the technical teams and in compliance with Company system of reference, the local constraints, and the eventual 'synergy' action plans defined by Company head officeTo ensure the application and respect of the proceduresTo support contract engineers in the management of complex or sensitive contracts issues on EPC contractsTo intervene in the settlement of claims by proposing strategies and actions and by participating to the negotiationsTo coordinate the relations with the suppliers in liaison with the RequesterTo implement the company's pricing and contracting policies including the review and approval of business actionsTo approve contracts, offers and other agreement to an agreed levelAbility to understand the basic technical and project management issuesAbility to participate in and influence commercial decision makingConsolidate all contracts and purchasing information based on SAP for analysis and reporting, weekly and monthly, monitor the completion dates and renewal dates, and reports it during Project meetingsTo participate to complex negotiations, during the tender of new contractsEnsure follow up of custom clearance contractual aspects and renewal of specific permit or exemption of taxes and/or custom duties in cooperation with Company dedicated customs agentOrganise and manage preparation in SAP of all Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders in relation with Cost Control Engineers, and follow-up until final approvalElaborate, update and revise all contracting and purchasing procedures for the ProjectLiaise and work in close cooperation with HQ for maintaining contract terms and conditions up-to-date and for requiring spot assistance for specific issues

Skills & Experience

Law degree or similar degree with a strong contracts training and experienceAbility to plan, execute and deliver high complex contractsTeam player and respected leader with ability to manage diverse teams and resourcesAbility to work in autonomy in a difficult environment and with regular pressure to achieve resultsUsed to work in a multi-disciplines teamStrong client and supplier relationship management and business development skills, able to negotiate mutually beneficial termsResults focused problem solver, able to prioritize and make decisions appropriatelyGood technical knowledge engineering and construction, and preferably oil and gas facilities

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
