Job Description Vacancy Code GA///4333 Vacancy Title Graphic Artist Department Corporate Communications Date Published Apr 4, 2013 Closing Date Apr 18, 2013 Vacancy Description Job Title: Graphic Artist Functional Area: Corporate Support – Corporate Communications Reports To: Responsible For: Head, Corporate Communications CC Officers & Assistants Overall Purpose of Job: Responsible for the planning and execution of specific corporate, product and service brand management efforts, image building and reputation management programmes. Within approved policy and authority limits, the CCM projects the interest of the group and assigned entities on projects and events planned and executed with the involvement of internal and external solutions partners including Corporate Communications, the media and the press. Responsibilities: Strategic · Supports the HCC in ensuring group wide compliance to corporate identity · Makes recommendations for the development and implementation of consistent and vision-aligned policies for internal and external communications and branding efforts; monitors compliance and recommends sanctions for non-compliance · Supports the development of image building/management strategies and programmes, providing needed support to CEOs/COOs, executive management, teams and the general workforce Operational · Develops advert placement schedules with budgets based on periodic media plans · Manages key relationships with advertising agencies, media agencies and print vendors (local & international) · Design quarterly and monthly newsletters and e-bulletins · Daily supervision of implementation of website and intranet updates using CMS tool · Supervise the production of print designed materials, to ensure compliance to brand identity and standards · Performs other duties as may be assigned by the HCC from time to time Key Performance Indicators: · Comprehensiveness, effectiveness and quality of design communication creatives · Cost effectiveness of internal and external design communications activities implemented · Quality and timeliness of deliverables · Consistency of relationship with advertising/media agencies Person Specification: · A degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design or any other related discipline · 2 – 3 years operational experience (Corporate/External Affairs, Media and/or Advertising) within a reputable and structured business environment · Strong exposure to reputation and events management Required Competencies: · Brand and Communication Management · Agency Relations · Creativity & Innovation · Adobe Photoshop · Adobe Pagemaker · Adobe Illustrator · Quark Xpress · Corel Draw · Microsoft Word · Leadership/Supervisory, Interpersonal Relations and Teamplaying · Oral & Written Communication; effective Presentation Job Categories: Oil & Gas Jobs in Nigeria
