Our client operates in the upstream subsector in the oil and energy space, with the acquisition of a major asset from a multinational oil company to expand daily output and production capacity, they require the expertise of engineers with superb engineering skills.

Job Details 

Provide high quality reservoir engineering expertise to engineering team to deliver superior value to OML (fields and reservoirs). High level targets includes but not limited to optimization of field development and depletion, growth of reserves, production optimization and provision of high quality reservoir engineering advisory to solve day-to-day operational challenges. Must have mentoring skills and be able to lead a small technical team.

 Job function;

Develop up to date understanding of reservoirs including pertinent data and performance history in areas of assignmentMaintain up-to-date reservoir models (3D simulation and material balance models for all key reservoirs in asset) and possess the ability to understand and match changing reservoir conditions and be able to provide recommendations for production and reserves optimizationProvide leadership in generating high quality reservoir models that are reliable for volumetric assessment, development optimization and reserves assessment.Collaborate with production engineers to maintain representative integrated production model of assigned fields, reservoirs and wellsPerform annual review of reserves of all reservoirs in OML-42 and present reserves changes recommendations for management approvalCoordinate and perform depletion planning of all key reservoirs and fields and recommend plans for optimized development and recovery of reservesProvide support to new wells drilling, new field developments and exploratory activities.Perform fit-for-purpose reservoir studies to understand reservoir behaviour and provide recommendations for production optimization and reserves changes.

Required Work Experience and preferred Educational Background;

Minimum 12+ years work experience as a reservoir engineer, with a solid exposure to production 
engineering, cross discipline experience and a good grasp of Geology and Geophysics fundamentals. 
Minimum B.Eng/B Sc (Minimum second Class lower) in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering 
or Chemical Engineering
