Jobs in Nigeria are a hard commodity to come by. The government has a very big role toplay in the provision of job vacancies but do little or nothing to this end. Nigeriangraduates suffer endlessly to apply for the few available job vacancies to get turned atthe gate by discrimination and the who-know-man syndrome.Due to the government’s lack luster atttitude in the provision of basic amenities andfavorable private sector participation, getting jobs vacancies in Nigerian continues tobe a big hassle for Nigerians at large.Nigerian graduates walk the streets with their CV in hand looking for any opening at all,even does below their qualification and salary level just to make ends meet.It has been a very serious issue in Nigeria since its independence. A lot of companies as mandated to provide opportunities forNigerians are now advertising their job vacancies online. This has opened up theapplication methods for job vacancies in Nigeria.But with all the above, hope sttill remains for the Nigeria graduate as he furges aheadto regain his rightful place in society as a respected product of a Nigerian university.The recruitment procedure in Nigeria had before now been a huge challenge in the JobVacancy and recruitment processes. Many people find the manual process tiring so theylose faith quickly in the recruitment process. This in turn gives the company anopportunity to put in their own relatives into the job vacancies making it almostimpossble to the average graduates.Jobs in the banking sector are now recently opening up as more and more bank branchesopen up. OND holders are not left out of the mix as they are mostly employed in bulkrooms. Banks generally train their fresh workers before putting them into the jobstypically making it easier for the average worker to pick up pretty quickly.Engineering jobs is still one of the most sort after kind of jobs in Nigeria, these jobs require at least five years of studying in any of the Nigeria universities offering any of the engineering courses e.g electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering etc.Though the government is seriously working towards fixing the issue of employment inNigeria, there still remain a lot to be done in respect to the availability of jobs in Nigeria

Until the the government look into developing the private sector, there is still going to be a problem with job vacancies in Nigeria.
