Summary
Concern Universal is an international development organisation that works through local partners to tackle poverty and has been registered in Nigeria since 2001. This role will contribute to the dissemination of evidence-based advocacy and sharing of best practices and impacts of the Rural Sanitation & Hygiene Promotion in Nigeria RUSHPIN project, through identifying and writing case studies, managing social media and website content, management of budgets, daily office administration, and support to project staff and partners. Based in our head office in Calabar, the role also involves regular travel to project areas.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the main contact point for collection and dissemination of case studies, lessons learned and best practices emerging from the project
Writing and compiling concise and high quality case studies for reports and social media
Prepare reports, newsletters and responses to requests for information
Development of communication guidelines and training sessions for staff and partners
Conduct regular visits to field offices in Cross River & Benue States
Contribute to the implementation of the project’s Communication & Advocacy Strategy
Person Specification

Required and Desirable
BSc or BA in relevant field Communication, Journalism, International Development, WASH
Relevant Post-graduate qualification At least two years’ experience in a similar role
Experience with an International NGOExcellent writing skills
A record of published articles and reports
Strong working knowledge of IT, Word, Excel & social media Blogs, Facebook, Twitter etc.
Photography, film-making skills and experience with editing software
Excellent attention to detail & time-management
Strong interviewing and facilitation skills
Experience training others in communication
