The “RSVP” campaign is aimed at increasing citizens’ popular participation in the electoral process. It is built around the common abbreviation that usually accompanies an invitation to an important event or occasion. RSVP: Réspondez S'il Vous Plaît.

Therefore, EiE is using the four letters to represent the following:

1. Register to vote

2. Select credible candidates (having scrutinized the options)

3. Vote!

4. Protect your vote

The target audience for the RSVP campaign is urban Nigerian youth and will focus on educating and influencing their behavior through the following platforms: New Media and Technology; Town Hall Meetings & Campus Storms; Traditional Advertising.

EnoughisEnough Nigeria (EiE) is a coalition of individuals and youth organizations committed to instituting a culture of good governance and public accountability in Nigeria through advocacy, activism and the mobilization of the youth population as responsible citizens. We are non-partisan, neither are we a platform for the actualization of any individual’s political ambitions.

Our ambitious goal is to mobilize 10 million young people, cutting across religious, ethnic and socio-economic divides in the country to be actively engaged in the electoral process by 2015.

Job Title:

Content Curator, RSVP

Period & Mode of Engagement:

Full time for an initial period of 6 Months. However, the engagement may be extended as the project requires

Primary Job Location:

Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose:

1. To provide ongoing research data as input for the RSVP project

2. To provide content as required for media campaigns and documentation for the RSVP Project

3. To research and collate key information regarding the political candidates in the 2011Elections

Reports To:

Project Manager, RSVP

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Works with the PM to develop descriptive categories for information relating to the elections

2. Continually finds, groups, organizes and shares the best and most relevant content on the elections

3. Works with technical team and IT support resource to present information on the RSVP portal in the most interactive way

4. Interfaces with information sources like the media, INEC and campaign organizations to get authentic content

5. Recruits and manages a balanced group of volunteers to provide crisp and fun perspectives on gathered content

Required Skills:

1. Ability to operate with minimal supervision

2. Ability to work full-time for at least 6 months (Note, this is not a part-time job)

3. Administrative ability: Proven ability to manage people and processes

4. Planning ability: Proven ability to multitask i.e. manage multiple competing tasks

5. Ability to represent RSVP professionally and convincingly

6. Ability to travel, as required

7. Excellent oral, written and computer skills

Other Qualifications:

Minimum of a University Bachelor’s degree

Experience in research and analysis required

Remuneration:

Fixed salary of N100,000 per month

N10,000 per month communication costs (Reimbursed)
