Job Title:Content Curator, RSVP
Period & Mode of Engagement:Full time for an initial period of 6 Months. However, the engagement may be extended as the project requires
Primary Job Location:Lagos, Nigeria
Purpose:1. To provide ongoing research data as input for the RSVP project2. To provide content as required for media campaigns and documentation for the RSVP Project3. To research and collate key information regarding the political candidates in the 2011Elections
Reports To:Project Manager, RSVP
Primary Responsibilities:1. Works with the PM to develop descriptive categories for information relating to the elections2. Continually finds, groups, organizes and shares the best and most relevant content on the elections3. Works with technical team and IT support resource to present information on the RSVP portal in the most interactive way4. Interfaces with information sources like the media, INEC and campaign organizations to get authentic content
5. Recruits and manages a balanced group of volunteers to provide crisp and fun perspectives on gathered content
Required Skills:1. Ability to operate with minimal supervision2. Ability to work full-time for at least 6 months (Note, this is not a part-time job)3. Administrative ability: Proven ability to manage people and processes4. Planning ability: Proven ability to multitask i.e. manage multiple competing tasks5. Ability to represent RSVP professionally and convincingly6. Ability to travel, as required7. Excellent oral, written and computer skills8. Efficiency9. Spirit of excellence10. Energy, passion, commitment & drive11. Attention to detail12. Thirst for knowledge & information13. Good knowledge of the Northern Nigerian political and socio-economic environment14. Ability to hit the ground running & learn quickly15. High degree of trustworthiness, discretion & confidentiality
Other Qualifications:Minimum of a University Bachelor’s degreeExperience in research and analysis required
Remuneration:Fixed salary of N100,000 per monthN10,000 per month communication costs (Reimbursed)
