Health Benefit Limited Vacancy for Administrative Associate – Cancer Clinics

Are you self-starter able to manage a small office on a day-to-day basis with minimal supervision? Can you communicate well in written form and verbally? Can you work legally in Nigeria? Then, this is for you. A MEDICAL ONCOLOGIST who sees patients in Nigeria on quarterly basis; requires a part-time administrative and physician liason officer.

Position: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE – CANCER CLINICS

Initial Job Description:
Part-time position requiring 4-10 hours a week to coordinate and facilitate planned cancer consultations in NigeriaThe individual will be expected to visit health care facilities designated and directed by the oncologist or his colleaguesSet up appointment and confirm patient readiness and willingness to be seen if diagnosedBook and confirm appointment dates for consultationsFully describe the consultation process, fees and requirement to the patient and relativesAccess voice mail, email and/or any other designated electronic media at least once a week and updated the oncologist by either text messaging, email or phone callConfirm availability of all medical records and help direct patients in obtaining requested tests in preparation for oncology consultationFacilitate initial discussion by telephone usually; between the oncologist and the referral medical doctor/health care practioner as soon as a patient needing an oncology consultation is identifiedPerform other appropriate duties as assigned by the oncologistThis position will require travel between 2-3 major cities in Nigeria; by air and with appropriate accommodation arrangements. These will mostly occur while the oncologist is in Nigeria
Preliminary Qualification
A science degree (BSc or higher) from a reputable University within the past 10 yearsPrior experience working in a health care setting is recommended but not requiredAbility to understand basic medical terminologiesComputer literate – Word, Excel and Email.Administrative experience is a plus
Salary: Negotiable
