The position is also responsible for maintaining accurate records of fixed assets in service and out of service; recording asset additions and disposals; calculating resulting gains and losses; tracking asset movements and attributes; establishing appropriate depreciation; resolution of discrepancies between the fixed assets module of SAP and other related modules.Monthly Federal, State, Local Tax Returns and CompliancePrepare monthly Federal, State, or local tax returns for business establishments. The position is also responsible for receipt application, debit/credit memo creation and accounts receivable collections. Balance sheet accounts allocated to the incumbent are to be reconciled in a regular and timely manner and adjustments promptly processed in SAP.Customer Documents Processing, cash accounts reconciliations and debtors’ aged analysis report ProcessingPerform the day to day processing of accounts receivable transactions by verifying that the transactions for accuracy and compliance with the company’s financial policies and procedures before processing them in SAP / company’s books.Perform daily research on issues raised regarding customer payments and resolve payment discrepancies within one to two days when this is brought to your attention.Carry out daily tracking of deposit activity at all the company’s banks where customers bank funds and ensure that all credits (and debit adjustments) are booked within one to two days of credit in the bank account. Also carry out daily reconciliations with bank statements and with the Treasury Team to ensure that all the credits are captured without any omission or errors, especially by the last day of each month.Reconcile and maintain customer statements on a regular basis to ensure that balances reflecting in their accounts are updated on a daily basis and present a true position in the company’s books.
