Our objective is to bridge the gap between the skills and knowledge of the graduates of educational system and what the industries require.Job Title: Senior Piping EngineerProviding maintenance and inspection plans to assure the technical integrity of the pipelines within defined scope and budget, focused on realising asset specific HSE, integrity, costs and availability performance.Developing and implementing best practice inspection, monitoring and emergency response systems.
Advising on matters of specification, design, selection, procurement, application and maintenance and identifying/recognizing potential hazards in own discipline and proposing/implementing solutions to eliminate/minimize risks.
Supervising pipeline engineering activities in the field when being executed by third parties, when required.
Managing engineering modifications to the pipeline system
B.Sc. /B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
A Minimum of 7 years experience as a Piping engineer within the Oil and Gas sector with at least 4-6 years in a senior level position
Provide technical answers to Contractor technical queries related to the pipeline
Provide with continuous technical valuation on pipeline by placing emphasis on technical risks control and mitigation during detailed engineering, qualification and manufacturing stages
Provide input to the resolution of technical issues associated with the pipeline
Assist in the definition of QA/QC plan for the pipeline
Have exposure in oil and gas onshore and offshore pipeline installation engineering
An experience in using pipeline software: AutoPIPE/Caesar, OFFPIPE/Orcalay, AGA on bottom stability, Sage Profile will be an added advantage.
Monitor process indicators, instruments, gauges, and meters in order to detect and report any possible problems.
Start pumps and open valves or use automated equipment to regulate the flow of oil in pipelines and into and out of tanks.
Control or operate manifold and pumping systems to circulate liquids through a petroleum refinery.
Operate control panels to coordinate and regulate process variables such as temperature and pressure, and to direct product flow rate, according to process schedules.
Operate auxiliary equipment and control multiple processing units during distilling or treating operations, moving controls that regulate valves, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
Plan movement of products through lines to processing, storage, and shipping units, utilizing knowledge of system interconnections and capacities.
Monitor gauges and flow meters and inspect equipment to ensure that tank levels, temperatures, chemical amounts, and pressures are at specified levels, reporting abnormalities as necessary.
Tend vessels that store substances such as gases, liquids, slurries, or powdered materials, checking levels of substances by using calibrated rods or by reading mercury gauges and tank charts.
Plan movement of products through lines to processing, storage, and shipping units, utilizing knowledge of interconnections and capacities of pipelines, valve manifolds, pumps, and tankage.
Be familiar with the company HSE Operating System and Policy.
Must be willing to go offshore as and when required.
