As part of an ongoing transformations agenda, our client is seeking the services of people who are humble, smart and hungry for success in a bid to create a world class insurance service providerJob Title: Team Leader, Finance & AccountsSuccessful candidate will be required to:Develop and direct the execution of major financial policies and procedures which are consistent and in compliance with current accepted accounting procedures and practicesEnsure preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts of income and expense, cost analysis and related activitiesDirects financial reporting and fiscal proceduresEstablish procedures and controls for efficient and effective operations of accounts payable as well as departmental financial and budget reportsWrite, monitor and ensure compliance with the organization’s accounting policyCo-ordinate budget development with all department heads and monitor the budget throughout the yearTimely rendition of statutory returnsLiaise with external auditors, tax authorities etc. to ensure full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirementsMonitor departmental performance against benchmark to ensure achievementCo-ordinate and monitor cost expense management strategiesEnsure timely and efficient reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L itemsEnsure best practices in both internal and external financial activities.Have first degree in AccountingProfessional qualification i.e. ACA, ACCA, CFAMinimum of 10 years experienceInterested candidates are requested to send in their applications, along with a current detailed resume as an attachment
