Team/Department Mission
The OEM, Retail and Phone Lead has direct responsibility and accountability for driving the regional consumer business strategy for Nigeria.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the subsidiary activities to drive Windows PC volume more effectively through our retail partners and channels and compete effectively to take market share against Apple and Android in all PC, Netbook and Slate categories. Continuously improve the attach of Windows to OEM devices through integrating local demand generation activities with OEM device supply activities. Continuously improve assortment of Windows PC at retail, and drive increased attach of Office to PC sales
- Lead the subsidiary Windows Phone activities, to drive higher awareness, end-user demand, and sales volumes through alignment of advertising, mobile operators, OEMs and retail channels in the local geography. Lead the local execution of Joint Marketing Agreements with Mobile Operators, and take market share against Apple, Android, and RIM in smartphone categories. Be the subsidiary executive accountable for the local Telco B2C partnerships and budgeted goals.
- Lead the Channel Partner relationships with managed Retailers, Named OEM partners, Distributors, and national Telco for their B2C activities in the local market, and take accountability for success in breadth retail, and SBC channels locally.
- Accountable for Full Packaged Product (FPP) revenue, and all subscription revenue across all business lines, including Office, Windows, and Microsoft hardware.
- Advocate and be the spiritual leader for consumer business across the subsidiary (internally and externally).
Key Measures of Success
- Budgeted revenue & unit goals for OEM, Office Unmanaged, Windows Phone, HW and subscriptions revenue.
- Attach growth goals for OEM MNA, Named and SBC channels for both Windows and Office on PC, Netbook and Slate device categories.
- Share of market in terms of both shipment share, for PC and Slate categories and, Smartphone markets.

- Understands Telco, OEM, Retail and ecosystem; very strong consumer DNA
- Strong product passion & channel marketing skills; must be articulate on the value of our consumer products to consumers
- Broad business leadership scalability
- Strong at executive level key account relationships
- Business development (channel expertise & development)
- Strong people manager and leader
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ of practical field experience in Information Technology, Marketing and Sales
- Bachelor’s degree in business; MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
