The core business of PRODECO:
- EPCM (engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance) contracts for marine construction works, including dredging & land reclamation;
- EPCM contracts for construction & rehabilitation of wharfs;
- EPCM contracts for shipyard facilities, based on client’s requirement and in-house design;
- EPCM contracts for facilities – offices, industrial buildings, pre-engineered workshops & warehouses, based on client’s requirements or affiliate’s needs;
- EPCM contracts for infrastructure – stacking areas of more than 2,000,000 m² constructed in the 12 years to Y2013;
- Development of residential accommodation (1 to 4 bedroom houses or apartments) exceeding 140,000 m² (equivalent to approx. 1,800 apartment units);
- Property management and property maintenance of four major estates and two port complexes;
- Quarry / crushing plant operations, concrete production with six batching plants producing up to 170,000 m³ pa and two prefabrication plants.

We are looking for an experienced Expat Project Manager to join our team.  You will have ideally worked for a large construction company and have experience managing the following projects types:

Residential and office complexesIndustrial structures: warehouses, workshopsInfrastructure facilitiesMarine works (i.e. jetty facilities, rehabilitation of jetties), port development, infrastructure facilities

Our head office is situated in the Oil and Gas Free Zone in Onne, Rivers State, Nigeria and our ideal candidate will be ready to embrace compound living and their excellent communication skills will be used as they will be part of a large multi-cultural team.

The key functions of the role are:

Responsible for overall project execution, which includes establishment and implementation of project execution policy, planning, schedule control, cost control, quality control, material control, information and risk analysisEnsure the preparation of project / construction schedules and periodic reports (progress, project costs, cash flow etc)Ensure time schedule of project is met within the allocated cost and budgetImplement various construction methods required for execution of worksEstablishment and implementation of quality control plans and proceduresSuggest about any additional need for equipment to perform planned activitiesMonitor progress and performance, identify potential problems and develop remediesMaintain control of costs related construction expensesEnsure that verification of bill of quantities and recommend for approval of invoices.Administer contractsKeep in close contact with subcontractors for all constructional activities.Coordinate with the Area Manager for the needs, timely deliverable and optimisation of batching plant and prefab plant
