JOB On Offer: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (Nigeria)

JOB PURPOSE:
Financial Accountant (Nigeria) reports directly to the Financial Manager – West Africa

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum HND in Accounting. Part qualification of either ACCA or CA Nigeria would be preferred.
Must have at least three years post qualification experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General Ledger functions
Statutory payments and returns
Banking
Petty cash
Non-trading local accounts payable
Statutory reporting

OTHERS:
Any other that may be assigned by the Financial Manager

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Successful applicants would be required to work at SMC sites in Nigeria and other West African Countries.

Where must one acquire this so called experience you emphasize? Is it not in an institution like yours one should acquire the experience of 3yrs as needed by your company? If you really want to employ Nigerians focus on their qualifications, invite them for interview and access them based on their perfomances.
