Job Description: PRINCIPAL LIBRARIAN (CONUASS 5)

Qualifications:

All interested applicants/candidates must possess a good first degree in the Humanities, Natural Sciences, the Social Sciences or Law and Postgraduate qualifications such as MLS or MIS.

Applicants must possess at least 10 years cognate experience.

Possession of a Ph.D in library and Information Science will be an advantage.

Applicants must possess evidence of research and publications.

Mode of Application

It is important that interested candidates must forward (30) copies of detailed applications which should include photocopies of candidates credentials (0 Level Results inclusive). Thirty (30) copies signed Curriculum Vitae, which must be presented in the following order:

•    Name in Full with Surname first (BOLDLY WRITTEN)

•    Place and Date of Birth

•    State of Origin

•    Permanent Address

•    Current Postal Address

•    Nationality

•    Marital Status

•    Number and Ages of Children

•    Academic/Professional Qualifications (with dates and institutions)

•    Statement of Experience including full details of former and present position

•    Current Research

•    List of Publications

•    Other activities outside current employment

•    Names, Addresses and Telephone Numbers of three (3) referees

•    Telephone and E-mail Address (SELF)

•    Proposed date of availability for duty if appointed

 

Candidates should requests their referees to forward reference letters on their behalf directly to where application letters are forwarded to.

Candidates should please include three (3) self addressed envelopes with Fifty Naira Only (NSO: 00) stamp on each. All applications with credentials should be addressed to:
