We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person for the position of Programme Officer, Community Health and HIV to support Christian Aid partnerships and programmes.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting and managing Christian Aid partnerships and programmes, as well as the effective disbursement of funds to Christian Aid partners. He/she will represent Christian Aid, contribute to the development of Christian Aid policy and strategy, as well as engage with and promote communications and fundraising, including from institutional donors.
The ideal candidate must possess a degree in a development/business management -related subject. He/she must have at least five years’ working experience in community based small scale business development or entrepreneurship development for poor/low income populations.
He/she must have experience in Pro-Poor Market Development (PPMD) approach and can lead on exciting new markets and private sector work, with the ability to support partners. He/she must have experience in supporting advocacy work to ensure systemic interventions aimed at creating an enabling environment for the poor to participate more effectively in markets. Emphasis will be placed on a candidate who is able to demonstrate substantial experience in supporting poor people to grow small and medium scale businesses.

He/she will provide technical support to partners to develop organisational plans; providing support in designing effective malaria programmes. The role requires a self-motivated, dynamic and innovative person, with extensive knowledge of Community Health issues in Nigeria, teamwork and coordination skills and experience in managing partnerships with local organisations. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in international development/public health-related subject. He/she must have at least five years’ working experience in Community Health with significant experience in implementing and/or managing community-based malaria interventions.
