Reports to: Head of Content Management

Function: Content Editor

Location: Lagos

Purpose Statement:

The role holder would be responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing inspiring messages on the DealDey website. Responsible for providing good product and service information with images on the DealDey website which would have a positive impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.

Key Accountabilities:

·         Create/modify content for products and services sold on DealDey.com

·         Provide accurate product images and informative text-based products and services descriptions

·         Provide additional descriptive content that can help customers make more informed buying decisions

·         Ensure that content is timely, relevant, compelling and highly engaging

·         Based on strict adherence to guidelines, determine acceptance of content submitted by suppliers and moderate, as appropriate

·         Champion new initiatives to improve editorial processes

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

·         Minimum of a University degree in any related discipline

·         Excellent communication skillsStrong attention to detail

·         Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

·         Personal initiative, flexibility, and intellectual curiosity

·         Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage a large workload

·         Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with merchants or reps supplying information on products and services

·         Ability and confidence to seek new ways to source and use information in order to improve profitability

·         Understanding of SEO and its importance in writing content

·         Must be Computer Literate
