Recently, the conglomerate revolutionized the data services in and out of West African Countries to the rest of the world with launch of the commercial services of Glo submarine cable. With Points of Presence (POP) in the UK, Hong Kong, USA and Virtual POPs in France and Germany, Gb Gateway services manage roaming connections, voice and data traffic in both the local and international markets. Gb Business Solutions Unit provides system integration and maintenance, high speed internet services for sectors such as Oil & Gas, Banking and Manufacturing etc.
Due to expansion, the company needs dynamic and result oriented Sates Executives and Field Engineers who are ready to make a difference and drive business towards increased market share.

Field Engineers - Glo Business Solutions

Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Kaduna, Yola, Jos, lbadan, Oshogbo, Ilorin and Port-Harcourt.

Responsibilities

Responsible for commissioning and Integration of microwaveand optical fiber linksFault Analysis and troubleshooting of SDH and PDH linksWorking in team to resolve technical complaint inconjunction with transmission, planning, and other supporting departments.Corrective action and repair of faultDoing root cause analysis and come up with plans to mitigate repeated outages.Working on special projects based on customer’s requirement.

Qualification

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and related discipline.Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience/Skills

Minimum 3 years cognate experience in a Telecom/ISP.Good Knowledge of IP domain and Network Management System.Experience in commissioning and acceptance testing of microwave and fiber linksStrong knowledge on fiber, DWDM, PDH, SDHtransmission and transmission networks.Thorough Understanding of transmission networks
