Prime objectives of the job :
To develop and lead the sales and marketing initiatives in Nigeria in order to increase sales, market share and brand awareness within all the potential distribution networks and for all the brands in the portfolio.
Key responsibilities :
Sales Objectives:-
Designs and implements a sales plan to achieve the GS & MC objectives and follows up on all agreed actions with distributors and key accounts
Establishes sales plans for all Distributors including monthly forecast orders, promotional calendar, launch of new products, extend the sub distributors & retail distribution
Liaises with existing & new distributors to ensure they are selling the agreed range of Arc products. Provides advice and support to ensure that they are providing the right product, at the right margin, with the right service levels to the end customers.
Complete & update market sizing & market sizing – Make analysis , propose actions plan and Competition Analysis (product, pricing etc…)
Liaises with stores and clients (distributors and supermarket chains) to understand their needs and concerns and is responsible for taking action locally to address these issues, seeking advice and support from GM as required
Research new opportunities both in CG & FS, estimate volume and develop a detailed plan on how to include these new customers into our existing distribution network
Establish the annual Budget per countries, channels & entities
Marketing:-
Ensures the display of required products in the stores, protecting and promoting the Brands image policy in the territory, reports on all marketing issues to the ID Marketing Department
Defines and implement the core product assortment as well as the category segmentation in assigned territory and by clients, in conjunction with the Marketing department
Build and implement promotion strategies with the Africa Marketing Manager for CG and FS
Define the marketing budget required for the area for CG & FS
Liaises with the Africa /International Marketing to develop and implement promotion and merchandising in all distribution channels including Hypermarket & Supermarket chains, department stores, home specialists and chain stores
Trade:-
Create, maintain and develop a direct relation with the Key Accounts in CG+FS. including developing and updating key account plans
Promotes and sells full ranges and concepts to the supermarket chains, discount stores, the independent retail outlets, Hotel Groups, Restaurants, Resorts, Institutions
Ensure the payment terms are adhered to and follows up with clients on outstanding payments
Participate in trade shows and other required public relation event
Cross Functional Support:-
Coordinate with the Marketing Division for preparing specific marketing brochures/catalogues to share with Customers.
Co-ordinate with Finance & Accounts to ensure compliance with all financial norms to propose the pricing/ control collections & receivables and be fully responsible for P&L of the CG segment for the region/customers
Customer Commitment:-
Develop and ensure timely deliveries and superior levels of service to Arc’s customers
Coordinate with internal production team on lead times for production of the assigned products to be supplied for CG customers
Brand Positioning:-
Position the brands based on the nature of their target markets to ensure market coverage is the maximum for distributors/customers
PS: The position is based in Lagos (Nigeria) and reports to Sales Manager (West Africa).
