The “RSVP” campaign is aimed at increasing citizens’ popular participation in the electoral process. It is built around the common abbreviation that usually accompanies an invitation to an important event or occasion. RSVP: Réspondez S'il Vous Plaît.

Therefore, EiE is using the four letters to represent the following:

1. Register to vote

2. Select credible candidates (having scrutinized the options)

3. Vote!

4. Protect your vote

The target audience for the RSVP campaign is urban Nigerian youth and will focus on educating and influencing their behavior through the following platforms: New Media and Technology; Town Hall Meetings & Campus Storms; Traditional Advertising.

EnoughisEnough Nigeria (EiE) is a coalition of individuals and youth organizations committed to instituting a culture of good governance and public accountability in Nigeria through advocacy, activism and the mobilization of the youth population as responsible citizens. We are non-partisan, neither are we a platform for the actualization of any individual’s political ambitions.

Our ambitious goal is to mobilize 10 million young people, cutting across religious, ethnic and socio-economic divides in the country to be actively engaged in the electoral process by 2015.

Job Title:

Project Manager, RSVP

Period & Mode of Engagement:

Full time for an initial period of 6 Months. However, the engagement may be extended as the project requires

Primary Job Location:

Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose:

1. To ensure the smooth, transparent and successful operation of the RSVP project in all ramifications

2. To provide information and recommendations to the EiE Board for setting RSVP’s strategic planning, execution and funding priorities

3. To coordinate all administrative and operational aspects of RSVP

Reports To:

EiE Executive Director

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Workplans

a. Developing a detailed work plan for RSVP (in conjunction with the ED of EiE)

b. Executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

2. Administration

a. Day- to-day administration/operation of the RSVP project

b. Managing supplies & logistics

c. Managing 3rd party contractors: Coordinating 3rd party contractors in the execution of RSVP initiatives & events

3. Standards & Documentation

a. Effectively applying EiE’s methodology and enforcing project standards

b. Preparing quality assurance procedures

c. Developing a weekly report of RSVP activities and targets for the following week (as required)

d. Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

e. Minimizing exposure and risks on the project

f. Keeping a record of lessons learned for the benefit of project members and EiE

4. Leadership

a. Setting daily targets for project staff and ensuring that those targets are met satisfactorily

b. Identifying resource needs and assigning individual responsibilities

c. Challenging project members to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor

d. Inspiring volunteers to attain goals and pursue excellence

e. Identifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for change

f. Actively looking out for the welfare of project members

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

a. Facilitating team and stakeholder meetings and presentations effectively

b. Managing day-to-day stakeholder interaction

c. Developing lasting relationships with stakeholders that encourage sustainability

d. Building a knowledge base of each stakeholder organization

e. Working with the EiE ED to coordinate RSVP brand awareness in the media and relevant circles

f. Serving as the primary spokesperson for RSVP

g. Coordinating weekly content from project members to be used on RSVP web pages

h. Effectively communicating relevant project information to the EiE ED

6. Project Accounting

a. Maintaining a weekly record of expenses on the project for reconciliation by the designated project accountant

b. Receiving new funds raised for RSVP for reconciliation by the designated project accountant

c. Managing project budgets

d. Determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring receivables for the project

e. Following up with donors, when necessary, regarding funds and other issues

f. Analyzing project financials

Required Skills:

1. Ability to operate with minimal supervision

2. Ability to work full-time for at least 6 months (Note, this is not a part-time job)

3. Administrative ability: Proven ability to manage people and processes

4. Planning ability: Proven ability to multitask i.e. manage multiple competing tasks

5. Ability to represent RSVP professionally and convincingly

6. Ability to travel, as required

7. Excellent oral, written and PowerPoint presentation skills

Other Qualifications:

Minimum of a University Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 3 years graduate work experience

Remuneration:

Fixed salary of N150,000 per month
