Job Title: Office Assistant/Account Officer

Job Description

Assists in the running of the office daily activities by performing the following duties:Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.Prepare monthly income statement and reconciliation of accounts.Perform daily posting of accounts.Prepares month-end general ledger close journal entries and supporting reconciliations.Verify and posts transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.Prepare invoices and processes invoice for payment and receipts.Follow up clients to ensure the settlement of outstanding accounts according to contract terms.Manage the preparation, distribution and reporting processes for payroll.Ensure the calculation of wages, overtime and deductions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.Ensure that payments and government reports are disbursed accurately and on time.Furnishes workers with clerical supplies.Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail, and collects, seals, and stamps outgoing mail.Receives visitors and delivers oral and written messages.Prepares and file articles and records.Operates office equipment such as envelope-sealing machine, letter opener, stamping machine and photocopying machineDelivers items to other business establishments.Ensures stationery supplies are properly purchased, received, stored and disseminatedEnsures that the reception is tidy and arranged and visitors/clients are comfortable.Other general administrative duties may be assigned.
