Role Summary/Purpose:
The Welder is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities:
Set up welding equipmentFabricate & weld equipment to a high standard,adhering to HSEQ policies and prosedures in a timely manner with attention to the work order routingsMaintain a hazard free and tidy work areaMaintain accurate traceability records for all fabricationsEnsure timely and full handover to the appropriate person on the next shiftParticipate in continual improvement for safety, quality and throughput.Basic repair and troubleshoot of welding power source and weld headSet up and control of internal purge pressureInspect weld, measure and ensure it meets specificationFill out weld logs and quality documentationQualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical option) or related disciplines/certifications.A minimum of 4 years cognate experience in Oil & Gas industryHigh level of EHS awareness with certification in slinging and lifting, abrasive wheels, manual handling and forkliftAbility to work well on own as well as part of a teamStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to read and understand drawings and engineering part specificationsAbility to read and interpret Welding Procedures and QualificationsProcess experience: Submerged arc (SAW), SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAWAdditional Eligibility Qualifications:
