Responsibilities

The Legal Officer shall be responsible for monitoring and/or advising on all legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements. The Legal Officer shall also ensure the company complies with all statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines across multiple jurisdictions.The Business Process Analyst will support the Business Process Management Unit in the execution of business process improvement, overseeing of staff performance management systems and ensuring that employees’ key result areas are aligned with the corporate objectives.

Responsibilities:

Legal Services

Draft a wide variety of legal agreements, such as sales agreements for all the Company’s products and services, inter-connect agreements, landing party agreements, inter carrier agreements, master services agreements, professional services agreements, joint venture and joint marketing agreements, collaboration agreement etc
Provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.
Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.
Provide commercial legal support on IT transaction including equipment supply, lease of IP and transmission capacity, collocation, value added and other services
Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.
Company Secretarial Services

Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
Attend meetings of the Company, providing all necessary secretarial support services in respect of the meetings with the applicable rules and regulations.
Monitor the rendering of all statutory returns and giving notification to the Corporate Affairs Commission as required under CAMA.
Provide all such other administrative and other secretarial duties as directed by the Legal Counsel & Company Secretary.
Implement and oversee corporate documentation and data management  

Qualifications, Skills  & Competencies:

Good understanding of general and specific Company and commercial law;
Experience in licensing, permitting and regulatory affairs;
Experience in consumer-facing businesses, capacity sales business plus knowledge of telecom and/or support for sales clients preferred.
Strong inter-personal skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude.
Proven ability to effectively juggle competing priorities;
Candidate must be able to work under pressure with keen attention to detail;
Ability to interact effectively with business and technical clients in a fast-paced environment;
Good written and oral communication skills
