Data Management Engineer - Nigeria

WTS Energy is seeking to hire Data Management Engineer for one of its client who is an international Oil & Gas operating company. Data Management Engineer will be ensuring production data integrity through collection, validation, recording and analysis of well and production data from all assets. It also includes acting as custodian of the production data system (Adwell, PDS) and provide a single point custodian for the departmental data and information.

The responsibilities of Data Management Engineer includes but are not limited to the following,

• Collect daily verified production and well test data from all fields.
• Process and validate the data; reject invalid data and request new acquisition; establish and maintain the production data base.
• Manage the Production Data System and ensure timely availability of validated and reconciled data for use by the Asset organization.
• Collate and issue the monthly report of producing wells (MRPW).
• Develop and maintain the Short Term Production forecast for the Assets.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all management and Government reports issued by the department.
• Collect data and maintain the monthly record of Key Performance Indicators for the Department.
• Manage the departmental operations information and filing system.
• Develop and regularly update the procedures relevant to the above tasks

Requirements:

• Data Management Engineer will have HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• At least 6 years experience at a senior supervisory level in production operations, including subsurface and surface facilities.
• In depth knowledge and understanding of the latest production planning and hydrocarbon accounting methodologies.
• Conversant in computerized production accounting systems.
• Awareness of Petroleum Engineering functional data and information requirements.
• Conscientious, well developed administrative qualities.
• Good man management, interpersonal and communications skills

• Work Schedule :Resident based position
• He/She will be reporting to the Production Coordinator.

For this position, preference will be given to Nigerian nationals. In case Expatriate candidate(s) are selected it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy.
