CHIEF OF PARTY, NIGERIA
Chemonics seeks a chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded basic education project in Nigeria. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of primary and junior secondary education institutions. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:

Provide overall project leadership, management, and technical direction
Supervise technical and administrative staff
Serve as the primary liaison with USAID and international and regional partners

QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced degree in a relevant field
Minimum 10 years of experience in educational development with a focus on primary and secondary education
Demonstrated expertise in teacher development, school management, and supporting education reforms
Experience working in Nigeria and knowledge of its education system preferred.
Demonstrated competence in leadership, client relations, and project and contract management
Experience managing large, complex, multi-region projects, preferably in Nigeria
Chief of party experience on USAID-funded projects preferred
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Fluency in English required; knowledge of Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, Kanuri, or other local dialect a plus
