Head of Quality Control

Our client is one of the largest international Oil & Gas companies in the world with operations covering the entire energy chain. The group operates in over 130 countries and employs over 95,000 personnel worldwide.

They are currently looking for a Head of Quality Control, based on site in Nigeria

As Head of Quality Control your main responsibilities will include:
* Oversee EPSCC CONTRACTOR during the Construction, (fabrication, erection and pre-commissioning) of the site works for the OML 58 Upgrade Phase 1 Project.
* Support the Site Project Manager and the Project Head of Quality in the delivery of Quality and integrity management for the project in Nigeria.
* Manage, Co-ordinate and allocate COMPANY (QC personnel, Inspectors and specialists to specific tasks during the Construction, fabrication, Installation and pre-commissioning) activities.
* Review and approve contents of CONTRACTOR Quality Control and Inspection procedures including Inspection and Test Plans ITP(s)
* Ensure that all equipment/plant arriving at site is in "as shipped condition" and in good working order
* Attend and approve CONTRACTOR qualification tests (WPQR, WQT, NDT etc)
* Supervise and co-ordinate COMPANY Hold/ Monitor/Witness /Review inspection activities
* Work with Site Project Manager and Project Head of Quality to resolve all quality issues on site.
* Monitor and communicate adequately to Project Head of Quality all non-conformities on site and subsequent corrective actions.
* Coordinate pre-mobilization checks of construction Equipment as per Site rules and maintain up to date register of construction equipments.
* Ensure accurate reporting of all Quality Control activities within Company project organization.
* Follow site safety rules, practices and assist site team in promoting a culture of safety on the site.
* Assist the Project Head of Quality in the Preparation of COMPANY final dossier for hand over to the Operations Group
* Attend project meetings as required
* Liaise with other disciplines for Quality Control and Inspection matters on site
* Evaluate EPCSS Contractor Quality Control

Qualifications, Experience and Skills required:
* Substantial experience in Oil & Gas Plant construction or upgrade operations, with Considerable experience either as a QC team leader or Head of QC on Oil & Gas plant construction
* Qualifications in welding inspection, coating, painting, UT, MPI and DP will be considered a plus.
* Significant and proven experience as a Team leader specifically in QC Management is desired.
* Extensive experience of piping, welding, hydrostatic testing and pre- commissioning processes required.
* Good knowledge of Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and rotating equipment required.
* IRCA Lead Auditor qualification or IRCA Lead Auditor training desirable

This is a contract position.

The salary for this position is 750Euros - 800Euros per/day. Rotation will be 28x28
