Options is one of the consortium partners implementing the Enhancing the National Response to HIV/AIDS programme (ENR) in Nigeria, which aims to contribute to Nigeria’s achievement of MDG 6 by reducing the spread of HIV and mitigating the impact of AIDS. We are looking for Systems Strengthening Technical Advisors (SSTAs) to strengthen our team.

Role

The SSTA will be responsible for supporting the State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (SACA) in his/her state by building the capacity and providing assistance for the development and maintenance of efficient and effective coordination, planning and reporting for an effective, multi-sectoral and evidence-based HIV/AIDS response.

Person specification • Master's degree or equivalent experience in public health administration, Social Sciences, or other related field • Minimum of 10 years' consulting and/or management experience in large, complex, non-government, public or private sector development projects • Demonstrated programme management competency and effective communication skills in working with clients, partners, and other public health professionals • Understanding of key issues for STI/HIV programming • Experience in institutional development, mentoring and training for different cadres of staff and partners • Excellent technical writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as being a self starter • Hausa speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
