Financial Management Specialist

Main Duties -

*    Perform budget preparation and Implementation

*   Budget Monitoring and Evaluation

*   Provide Project Management Supervision

*   Oversee design of Financial Management Systems

*   Financial Control and Investment Management

*   Business planning And Strategy Development

*   Grants Management

*   Financial tracking and performance

*   Financial accounting system

*   Fiduciary Risk Assessment

*   Review internal policies

*   Special assignments as authorized by management

Requirements and Expertise:

•          A good first degree in accounting or finance from a reputable institution.

•          Post -graduate degree such as an MBA Finance or management and relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.

•          Candidates for consideration MUST have performed the above functions in different capacities within the Aids/Development sector or NGO’s.

•          Candidates for consideration must be either ICAN certified or ACCA qualified and a member of related professional bodies.

•          Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ work experience, ten (10) of which involves implementing financial management programs and software, financial planning, budgeting and monitoring, internal control policies and procedures.

•          Technical expertise in fiduciary risk assessments, public financial managements, financial reporting and accounting is required.

* Public Revenue and Expenditure Management Services

* Public Sector consulting/ advisory role

Requirements and Expertise

•         A good first degree in economics, finance or any financial management related discipline from a reputable institution.

•          Post -graduate degree such as an MBA Finance and relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.

•          Candidates for consideration must be either ICAN certified or ACCA qualified and a member of related professional bodies.

•         Experience in managing and implementing internal control policies and procedures.

•          Proper understanding and experience liaising with public office holders, stakeholders and community

•         Technical expertise in fiduciary risk assessments, public financial managements, financial Reporting and accounting is required
