Lead Structural Engineer Vacancy: WorleyParsons

WorleyParsons Limited (WOR) provides professional services to the oil & gas, power, minerals & metals and infrastructure & environment industries, including feasibility studies, design, project services, upgrade services and maintenance services. WOR uses an alliance based approach to provide services for a significant proportion of the company’s contracts.

Position Summary:
Forecast requirement for structural engineering resources, and allocate those resources.

Structural design integrity of work scope and maintenance of standards Skills.

Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule

Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.

Benchmark structural design/drafting to identify areas of improvements.

Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to Projects.

Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project.

Applicants require experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large project team.

Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, scheduling, and contract commitments.

Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.

Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization.

Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.

Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks.

Previous experience in minimum facility platform design, including substructure and topsides are an advantage

Job Requirements
7 to 20 years relevant experience

Engineering degree

Other Skills
Proven ability to manage teams Clear communication skills Oil and gas/offshore experience in similar role is an advantage
