Details below:The Production Manager is essentially responsible for the production of high quality pharmaceuticals in conformity with established local and international standards.Plans, organizes, controls and directs all production and related documentation activities.Has primary responsibility for day to day running of the Production Department.Makes effective use of available human and material resources to achieve organizational goals and objectives.Responsible for planning production schedules in line with the overall management projections and ensures maintenance of optimum capacity utilization of the production facilities.Monitors the stock level of materials and advises management accordinglyMakes systematic analysis of production performance, identifies impediment to effective operations, and takes every practicable steps towards ensuring smooth operationsEnsures production processes comply with the demands of current Good manufacturing Practice ( GMP).Responsible for ensuring that production machines and equipment are run in accordance with the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures.Initiates and authorizes all manufacturing and packaging operations.Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, as well as periodic reports of production activities and any other operational reports as may be required from time to time.Enforces discipline among the production staff and ensures rules are strictly adhered to in all areas of product manufacture.Ensures that a high level of hygiene is maintained on the production floor in compliance with standard house keeping procedures.Ensures the security of products within production areas and implements control measures to eliminate or prevent pilferingCarries out regular review of Operating Procedures and initiates correction or amendment when necessary.Prepares validation master plan and conducts validation exercise in conjunction with other relevant departments.Responsible for the training needs of the departmentTakes active and collaborative roles in research and new product development.Executes any other duty or assignment deemed fit by the Plant managerACADEMIC/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTBachelor degree in Pharmacy. Additional qualifications will be an added advantageA Bachelor degree in pharmacy with a minimum of 8 years continuous working experience in a highly rated pharmaceutical manufacturing company.Excellent and dynamic team player with sterling leadership qualities.Ability to work under pressure, with little or no supervision.
