C-Set Consulting Nigeria Limited- Our client is a large building material manufacturing organization located in the south-south part of Nigeria currently searching for a sound strategic thinker to fill the position below:
Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager.
Job Purpose / Specification
I.) To initiate sourcing for categories/services and equipment required to meet business objectives and needs.
II.) To establish objectives and targets for categories/services and equipment in conjunction with the Procurement Director.
III.) To populate master data (classification, naming convention, UOM, safety stock, re-order point, etc) in collaboration with relevant functions.
IV.) To develop 2nd tier of key suppliers for selected categories, equipment and critical spares to support plant
V.) To ensure that supplier's management activities support the strategic and financial Objectives of the company and mitigate the risks associated with supply.
Vl.) To collaborate with all departments in the company in order to optimize effective sourcing and supplier management initiatives.
VII.) To conduct rigorous performance management of the sourcing team and ensure excellent performance.
VIII.) To ensure beneficial targets are achieved.
Educational Qualification, Skills and Experience
l.) B.Engr or B.Sc HND in Purchasing and Supply is required for the job. Masters in Business Administration (MBA) would be an added advantage.
II.) Must possess minimum of 10 years experience in procurement or operation function, 5 years of which must be in sourcing with exposure to supply chain management, complex strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes.
III.) Must possess analytical, financial analysis, leadership and communication skills.
lV.) Must possess expertise in supply chain management, company law, contract law, sourcing and procurement standards.
V.) Must be proficient in the use 01 micro soft word, power point, excel and other relevant packages
