Senior Petrophysicist - Lagos - Locals only - Nigeria

Apply US$100000 - US$130000 per annum Nigerian Only - Local Content Laws Top-notch petrophysicists will be charged with analyzing data across assets, providing inputs to studies in an integrated multi-disciplinary environment, and creating and maintaining a robust relational database.
Key Deliverables:
•Data loading (LWD, Wireline Logs, Mudlogs, Gas data)
•Data QC and Composite Log building (splicing merging, depth matching, despiking, etc.)
•Basic and qualitative interpretation of logs for lithology and fluid discrimination
•Quantitative Log interpretation (clay content, total and effective porosity, total and effective water saturation)
•Pay Summary computation (net, net-to-gross, phieh, hydh, etc.)
•Provide input to well proposals, and monitoring of drilling operations
•Coordinate well logging and perforation operations
•Quantify and reduce uncertainties in static reservoir models, and generate petrophysical parameters for input into special reservoir studies
•Maintain the petrophysics aspects of the Corporate database
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
•A Petrophysicist with a minimum of 10 years of relevant hands-on experience
•Strong knowledge of Niger Delta reservoirs and their acoustic properties
•Ability to cope with heavy flow of data, as wells are drilled back-to-back
•Minimum second class upper or a higher degree in a relevant discipline
•Experience working for a Major player in the Niger Delta will be an advantage
•Professional and flexible approach to work
•Prior mentoring experience
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
