They are currently recruiting for the position of Reservoir Engineer, based in Nigeria.
Job Description
Perform activities to generate hydrocarbon reserve estimates and realistic production forecasts for fields under area of influence.Perform Field Development planning activities and recommend strategies to maximise oil and gas ultimate recoveryIdentify, mature and execute short term oil generating activitiesPerform analyses to understand and predict dynamics of reservoirs under area of influenece. Document results on discipline specific issues.Prepare and execute proposals for reservoir data acquisition. Screen proposals from junior staff. Collect and interpret data and initiate follow-up activities.Provide advise on Reservoir Engineering matters related to well planning, drilling and completion operationsCoordinate Technical Assurance of individual deliverables. Liaise with TA2/1 to ensure QC actions are closed out and documented.Participate in Reservoir Engineering Discipline activities. Be part of one discipline improvement projectAct as technical coach to one staff within own discipline and teamAble to present discipline work to senior management and regulatorsSkills & Experience
Have a strong understanding and working knowledge of the majority of the fundamental scentific principles underpinning hydrocarbon recovery processes. Able to apply knowledge with area of influence.Able to report on work generated across multiple technical discipline within Development organsiationAble to work effectively with others and lead technical issues across discipline boundariesAble to perform discipline activities independently with minimal technical supervisionAble to identify areas of efficiency to reduce timelines.University degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering or Technical discipline with strong technical competence in core reservoir engineeringGood understanding of other sub-surface disciplinesConsiderable to extensive experience with proven track recordAble to work independentlyHave good inter-personal and communication skills and able to operate in multi-disciplinary teamsFully familiar with all reservoir engineering technical and productivity computingAbility to work under pressure and to tight time linesAble to manage all HSSE issues.This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
