The British Council is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the post of Creative Economy Digital Manager.

Purpose of job
To work with the arts and creative economy team in Nigeria to design digital strategy for Nigeria Creative Economy programme, deliver digital programmes, audiences and partnerships which contribute to the British Council’s cultural relations programme through the creative industries.
Context and environment:
The British Council in Nigeria works in three strategic business areas; Arts, English, Education and Society. The post will work directly to Assistant Director Nigeria who is responsible for our work in the Arts and Creative Economy.
The principal, but not exclusive focus of our Arts work in Nigeria is in Lagos.
Arts and creative economy staff work to develop international opportunities in specific priority areas:
We are increasingly exploring ways to use technology to expand reach and engagement for our programme as well as support the artistes and creative entrepreneurs that we work with to use technology more effectively in their work.
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
Design and Deliver Digital Strategy for Creative Economy projects in Nigeria
Project Design , Planning and delivery of creative economy projects that have a digital focus
managing relationships with project partners, and representing the project to other external stakeholdersensuring projects are marketed to the highest standard in print, digitally and at event.ensuring that all project activity reflects key equal opportunities and diversity issuesproject planning, monitoring and evaluation, using the following tools: project logic modelsGantt charts to reflect planned activityscorecard instruments (audience forecasts and actuals, quality of service questionnaires)Provide market intelligence and information, maintain and develop close understanding of and links with the creative sector in Nigeria

Bachelor’s DegreeSignificant and up-to-date knowledge of – and a broad network of contacts in – the Nigerian creative sector.An understanding of the educational, developmental and creative industry opportunities of arts activity.At least three years’ recent professional experience of working a creative sector organisation using digital tools to deliver activity.Understanding of Digital Marketing, technology or media, in particular, SEO, Web development, Social Media, User Experience projectRemuneration
N3,090,378.97 gross per annum. This includes allowances.
