NATIONAL MATHEMATICAL CENTRE KWALI, ABUJA RECRUITING FOR THE POST OF REGISTRAR

The National Mathematical Centre (NMC) is a world-class centre of excellent for Research and Training and mathematical science in Nigeria and Africa.It was established by decree No 4 of 1989 (Cap 58 of the Federation), to promote the teaching and learning of Mathematics of all levels of Nigerian educational system. Its Head office is located at Sheda, Kwali Abuja with Mathematics improvement programmes (MIP) established in some states of the federation.  Its activities are carried out in various states of the nation, through the efforts of state facilitating teams in conjunction with MIP officers in the state.The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer responsible to the Director/Chief Executive, for the day to day administration of the Centre. By virtue of this position, the Registrar is the Secretary to Council, the academic Board and other committees of CouncilThe candidate should have over all and in depth knowledge of and wide exposure to the running of a Tertiary institution, He/she should be a person of integrity and trust with proven professional and communication proficiency and should be capable of steering the administrative ship of the RegistryAn applicant for the position of Registrar should have a good bachelors degree from a recognized University with at least 15 years of post qualification working experience in a university or related institutions, of which no less than three (3) years should have been in the position of Deputy Registrar or its equivalent a higher degree with professional training and membership of professional bodies would be added advantage.Conditions of services are as obtainable in Federal Government Universities and inter University Institutions with added incentives as may be determined by councilApplicants for the position of Registrar are required to submit 20 copies of their printed Applicants and detailed Curriculum Vitae, relevant document in support of claims two (2)  pages vision/mission statement and Letters of Reference from three (3) refereesCompleted Applicants should be forward to: The Director/Chief Executive Officer National Mathematical Centre Kwali, Abuja.All applications must be received not later than 6th June, 2014, similar publication appeared in Daily Trust and Punch of 25th and 26th April, 2014 respectively
