Description
EnergyPersonnel is a research and technical consultancy service organization that supports the Oil Groups activities worldwide.
EnergyPersonnel customers benefit from access to a broad spectrum of technical knowledge and operational expertise provided by experts from different fields. This multidisciplinary approach proves especially valuable when providing consultancy services in areas that extend across technology and business boundaries, such as safety, energy utilization, plant maintenance and reliability, and supply chain management.
Efficient use of our resources has a direct impact on our business and enjoys a very high priority in Oil Companies. EnergyPersonnel has launched Energize, a fast growing business set up to reduce energy consumption in refineries and chemical plants. Energize creates, develops, and implements solutions to deliver more efficient use of energy for our customers. In doing so we contribute directly to profitability, emissions reductions, and sustainable development initiatives. All projects are done on a pay for performance basis. Energize expects to be actively engaged at 40 client sites by December 2009.
Energize provides services both to EnergyPersonnel and EnergyPersonnel clients in a variety of locations. We have recently initiated activities in Rich Nations, where we anticipate undertaking three contracts this year. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to develop and implement energy savings ideas at various client sites located in Africa and Europe.
Your main focus in this position will be to develop and implement energy savings ideas, as you will be in an autonomous role to achieve and enhance the savings opportunities identified during the program. Your contribution will therefore have a direct impact on the bottom lines of Energize and the customer. You will be called upon to manage a small on-site team of process engineers, as well as draw support from the Energize Technical support group and other Global Solutions business groups as required. You will prioritize and coordinate team activities, establish and maintain program visibility, nurture a positive and trusting business relationship with the customer, agree and validate program milestones with customer management, and develop the project execution plan and program targets.
In addition, you will integrate assistance from other EnergyPersonnel business groups as required, validate program benefit and cost targets, prioritize energy saving projects, track and report project costs and benefits on a monthly basis, and lead and coach junior team members. Energize is very much in a service role on the client’s site. Transparency toward the client and the development of a good relationship based on mutual trust are vital. "Face time” at the customer site is absolutely critical to project success and on-site team members are expected to spend at least 60% of their working hours at the site.
This position will require a significant amount of planning and controlling as a good manager

Skills To be considered for this position
Applicant must possess a degree in Any Engineering Field (or related field) along with approximately 5 or more years of process engineering and/or energy management experience in a petrochemical plant, chemical plant and/or refinery environment.
Substantial exposure to operations, leadership and project management elements is imperative.
You must have operational knowledge of process units and unit operations, such as distillation columns, utility systems, and common process equipment.
Strong negotiation, project management, communication and interpersonal skills are imperative.
You must also have the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization (including senior plant management), build positive customer relationships, and lead and manage a small team of technical experts.
In addition to the tasks outlined in this job description, you may be assigned other responsibilities as needed.

The EnergyPersonnel Group of companies offers an outstanding benefits package.
Interested candidates are requested to forward their applications letter with CV/Resume for screening and verification.
