Geomatics Operations Surveyor-Offshore Rep - Nigeria

Candidate must be experienced in shallow water construction activities and operations.
Must have experience in SIMOPS (Operations, acoustic and planning).
Must have valid offshore HUET / BOSIET and medical.
Must have a Laptop computer with Microsoft suite of programs, AutoCAD software (ArcMap software optional).

Offshore Survey Representative
The prime role of the offshore survey representative (rep) is one of compliance with contract specifications (if only rep onboard), survey & positioning procedures, protection of surface and seabed assets and monitoring of the co-ordinate integrity as defined in the Client Work Instruction for offshore survey representative. In addition, the rep shall promote Clients policy on Health, Safety, Security and the Environment (HSSE), whilst recognising that the Main Contractor is wholly responsible for the offshore management of the work.
Quality control all survey project plans, field/final reports, as-built records, data and maps and capture learnings and improvements in a rep's report.
Ensure Geo-information integrity for all data acquisition or positioning activities and that acquired data and as-built records are in the right formats.
Report to the senior onsite Client Representaive offshore while maintaining daily contacts with the responsible Geomatics Project Surveyor. Posses a university degree in Survey, Geodesy / Geomatics Engineering or related Geoscience degree with specialisation in hydrographic and engineering surveys.
Minimum 7 years of experience in Geomatics discipline as applied to the oil and gas industry with resposibility primarily in offshore with deep water experience and a sound knowledge in geodesy, hydrography, basic oceanography, geophysics, Geo-information and GIS.
High level of customer orientation and associated strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent HSE management skills.
Knowledgeable in offshore engineering operations.
