Deputy Teacher Professional Development Manager will direct all aspects of the development of instructional materials and the building of capacity of education professionals, at various levels of the system, to design and create instructional materials. S/he will provide a strategic vision of how to utilize innovative technologies and tools to reach a broad audience of teachers for both pre-service and in-service training. S/he will provide direction to trainers on matters related to educational administration and leadership within the project, manage the roll out of instructional materials training programs and conduct activity planning, implementation, monitoring, follow-up, and reporting for technical work related to instructional material development at the State level and work closely with Ministry partners and other stakeholders . The Deputy Teacher Professional Development Manager will promote effective, learner-centered technologies and content that are designed to improve teaching and learning in the classroom.Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5-7 years relevant experience, or• Master's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years relevant experience;• 3-5 years supervisory experience;• Experience working in the field of education, preferably in developing instructional materials;• Outstanding managerial and communication skills;• Must be able to work within a cross cultural setting, negotiate diplomatically, and function well under pressure;• Knowledge of and experience with internationally funded projects preferred but not required.
