Description : Job Reference: 1520550 Regional Fleet Manager - FMCG Location: Nigeria Salary: US$40000 - US$50000 per annum Job Type: Permanent Industry: Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Our client a major independent bottling company and Pepsi Cola's largest bottler in Sub-Sahara Africa with over 5000 employees and 16 manufacturing plants located in Nigeria, Tanzania and Ghana, are looking for an experienced operational fleet manager for their operations in Nigeria. This would be a regional role reporting through to the National Fleet Manager. In country they operate a fleet in excess of 1300 vehicles, mainly trucks regionally through their manufacturing/production facilities. The main aspects of this role will be to co-ordinate the repair and maintenance of all vehicles and identify alternative solutions to repair problems which may include fabrication of plants at HQ and plant level. Advise in the purchase of trucks and generators. Refurbishing of vehicles trailers and forklifts and ensure training of drivers. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: - Overall supervision, monitoring and control of repair/maintenance personnel - Ensure the availability of spare parts for use in repair/maintenance of vehicles/generators - Ensure fabrication of required parts for repair of vehicles/generators - Prepare consolidated reports on fleet maintenance - Prepare Performance Appraisal reports for those first line personnel who report direct Ideally you will be from a mechanical background, with at least (5) years first-hand experience as a mechanic after qualification prior to moving to a management role with experience of running/maintaining operational fleets/transport operation in particular trucks within either Nigeria or Sub Saharan Africa.
