We are one of the leading Construction and Civil Engineering Companies in West Africa. They are now seeking a Technical Director to work in Abuja to start in March 2012.
- You will be reporting to the managing Director.
- You will be coordinating and supervising the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction.
- You will be directing and overseeing the work of several sections, such as Building, Infrastructure, Design & Planning and overseeing the selection of sub-contractors to complete specific portions of the development and overview the sub-contractors, construction practices and standards.
- You will be reviewing and approving the construction plan & budget (for infrastructure and buildings).
- Ensuring that the plan and budget are presented to the Managing Director in a timely manner.
- Overseeing the execution or construction work carried out by subcontractors and approving their statements (i.e. certificates) for work executed.
- Moreover, monitor all project development meetings with sub-contractors and consultants.
- Preparing and follow-up on all contractual matters related to the Dealings with all Company’s stakeholders (e.g. sub-contractors, suppliers, government, etc.)
- Recommending solutions to the Managing Director related to any contractual issues with any stakeholder and coordinate with the Company’s lawyers.
- Overseeing and reviewing the design and execution of all infrastructure utilities (e.g. roads, sewage, water, electrical, etc.) Manage and control the department’s expenses within the yearly approved budget.
- You have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, MS and PMP is a plus with fifteen years of consulting and contracting Experience.
- You have excellent Computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD etc.
