The Client is a Media and Advertising Agency with operations spread across South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana

We seek applications for the position of Art Director to support out rapidly expanding advertising operations.

The primary responsibility of this position is to formulate design concepts and presentation approaches, and direct workers engaged in art work, layout design, and copy writing for visual communications media.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

Advertising Agency Experience with 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar positionAbility to translate marketing strategy into persuasive layouts, logos and packagingStrong background in designWork long hours and meet deadlines are both a mustExperience with Corel Draw, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, PowerPoint and other relevant programsAbility manage a project from concept through production, in multiple mediaBrainstorm copy ideas and possible angles for a client’s ad materialsMust be able to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environmentContribute original ideas for ad campaignsAbility to work with graphic designers, account executives and possibly even the client to move the projects from concept to completionAbility to direct and multitask effectively under pressureFollow up and tenacity with results/deadlinesCorporate presentation and trade show design experienceAbility to conceptualize and to direct concepts through design and executionStrong presentation and client management skillsStrong leadership–able to lead teams in brainstorming and concept development
